SUPER BOWL - SUGAR RECIPES

Hey Y'all, were back. Lori from www.Lorisgolfshoppe.com (Sugars better half) and I have returned from Florida (The PGA Show.) I'm going to cover The Super Bowl and throw some low effort, high tasting recipes at you.

The Super Bowl.
Indianapolis and New Orleans.
The Line: Indianapolis (-5) over New Orleans. (56 1/2)
This should be a great game! Peyton Manning is a genius, and the Saints can hang some points on the board. My gut (large) says Manning and crew take it, but you've got to love the Saints story. What a boost to New Orleans, if the Saints can bring home the trophy. I'm pulling for The Saints to win, but I'm really just hoping for a great game. Most of "The All Knowing" are picking the Colts.
Prediction: Brees and Manning light it up. The official scorer gets tired. The Saints kick one more field goal than the Colts. Saints win 41-38

Here are a few simple Super Bowl food ideas for you.
The Philly Cocktail Shrimp Block.
Your going to need a block of Philly Cream Cheese, a bottle of Cocktail Sauce and a can of Baby Shrimp.
Put the block of cheese on a dinner plate. In a bowl, mix the cocktail sauce with the baby shrimp. Pour the sauce over the block of cheese, grab a box of your favorite crackers and a knife, and off you go. I told you it was easy.

Sugar's Ultimate Nacho's.
What your going to need: 1 or 2 big bags of Tostito's Organic Blue Corn Chips. 1 Pound of 93 % lean hamburg, your favorite salsa, a big bag of shredded cheese.
In a skillet, brown the hamburg. When the hamburg is done, put a layer of chips on a plate. Sprinkle some of the hamburg over the chips. With a spoon, add a layer of salsa (I like thick and chunky,) top it off with shredded cheese, and microwave for about a minute, or until the cheese melts. After the cheese melts, I like to add jalapeno slices, guacamole and sour cream. It's best to keep these "on the side" as to not offend any wimps that might be in attendance. This amount of ingredients will make 2 large dinner plates of nachos. If you need more, just get more hamburger, salsa and cheese. You'll thank me for this one, and it's ultra simple.

Lip Smacking Crock Pot BBQ Boneless Spare Ribs.
This is so simple and yet so awesome. My motto in life, "Work Smarter, Not Harder" inspired me to create this recipe. You should buy about 1 pound of ribs per person, as there will be some shrinking during cooking.
What you need: A large crock pot or 2 small ones. 1 pound of ribs per person. 2 big bottles of BBQ sauce. I prefer Sweet Baby Ray's, Sweet Vadalia Onion Sauce. Pour a thin layer of sauce in the bottom of the crock pot. I use a ladle to spread it into the edges. Put a layer of tightly packed ribs on top of the sauce. Put another thin layer of sauce on top of the ribs. Add another layer of ribs. Then another layer of sauce. Here's how I finish it off. Fill the rest of the crock pot with uncooked sweet potato's (cubed,) red potatoes, or whole potato's. Shake Caribbean Jerk over the potato's. Put the top on, cook on high for 1 hour, then reduce to low. Now it's time to go play 18 holes of golf, or just let them cook for about 6 hours. Check the ribs periodically, and turn down to warm if necessary. Do not stir during cooking. Just push the potato's down into the liquid to assure a nice, soft texture.
This should give you and your guests some good options to enjoy during the Super Bowl. Please feel free to respond, to let me know how it worked out. Hoping all is well with you and yours. Good luck, God Bless, Sugar. Who Dat, Who Dat, Who Dat, GO SAINTS!!!!!!!!!
